SURRRRIOUSLY contemplating dying my locks white blonde. Like white white. So I’m getting some inspiration from the ultimate hot blondes- Aline Weber, Daphne Groeneveld, and Ginta Lapina. Cross your fingers that I don’t turn out like a crusty bleached freak.

I’m soooo beyond stoked to finally post the photos from our recent lookbook shoot for Fashion Gone Rogue. They are one of the go-to sites for the fashion industry so I was over the moon when they let me and Claire (sister aka in house photographer) contribute to their incredible database of editorials.

Set at the iconic Venice High School and drawing on retro surf-punk influences, sisters Claire and Amanda Thomas capture model Wylie Hays as the anti-teen queen. Dusting a halo of girlish coral pink over Wylie’s otherwise platinum roots, and adding a sweep of cobalt blue cat eyes across a fresh scrubbed face, make up artist Erica Davidson balances punk rock touches with kittenish charm.  Pep-rally ready in letterman jackets and converse paired with the chunky metal accessories by Luv AJ elevate the teen aesthetic to an editorial level with styling by Ashley Lewis.

Just about had a heart attack when I saw my girl Nicole Hill’s editorial on Fashion Gone Rogue this week! Nicole is an uber-talented photographer and an all-around sweetheart, who I got the pleasure of working with on Katie May‘s recent lookbook. The exclusive shoot she did with Fashion Gone Rogue, starring Karina Nicholson (yes, she’s “that chick from Nasty Gal”) turned out insane, and there’s so much Luv Aj throughout the shoot, it’s just pretty much the best thing ever.
