You know I love me some rocks and crystals, so I have been particularly enamored with these small oil paintings by Carly Waito. Her “Her meticulously detailed renderings of mineral specimens” (as she says) are so lifelike and so dope that I think I might need one for my new place. She’s painted Amethyst, Barite, Quartz, Hematite, and my favorite one of all: pyrite. Maybe if I sell enough Crystal Cluster Necklaces, I can afford one of her crystal paintings, ha!

Kind of having minor heart palpitations over the illustrations from the uber-talented Ezra Roise. I stumbled upon her bad ass drawings on my new favorite blog STOP IT RIGHT NOW, and spent a cool 20 minutes on her site just ooh-ing and awe-ing over her amazing line drawings/ watercolor hybrid pieces. She’s done a lot of work for Nylon, so many of you may have seen her work before. I actually featured her awhile back without even knowing it! So here you go Ezra, I’m finally giving you the credit you’re owed
